our story
The Arizona Coffee Company, LLC was founded in 2020 by Marty Aliker, a former Mustang Marine Corps Officer who received their commission in 1990, after graduating from The University of Arizona with a B.A. from The School of Government and Public Policy.
Marty is joined by his good friend, Solomon Pugh, who they met while serving in the same Marine Corps detachment in 1988.

Marty has lived in Uganda and Kenya where they gained experience as a coffee grower.
Having grown coffee from seedling to maturity, knowledge was gained as to how soil, rainfall, and temperature influence the taste of coffee.
With this in mind, we only purchase our coffee from high quality sources under the perfect environmental conditions.

Solomon Pugh, 1992
Solomon is a Gulf War veteran who served two tours at sea and in Iraq.
He was aboard the USS Tripoli when she was struck by a mine. Solomon brings knowledge of Oklahoma City demographics and an affable personality with him.
He is a father and loves spending quality time with his family.
Solomon and Marty met at the Marine detachment Fort Lee, VA in 1988.
In 2023 they happened to bump into each other in the elevator at Oklahoma City Veterans Medical Center and since then, working together to build a great team with outstanding coffee.
